It’s that time of the year again. Slowly but steadily, twinkling lights and towering trees are lighting up every corner of the world in preparation of Christmas, and one of the first families to sink their feet into the festive atmosphere are the British royals.
Yesterday, Princess of Wales Kate Middleton was seen decorating a Christmas tree for the upcoming Together at Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey, which is all set to take place on December 8. For the cheerful day, Princess Catherine opted for a muted look from Holland Cooper that was equal parts cozy and Christmassy, without going overboard. The royal was dressed in a creamy white sweater, which featured delicate geometric designs in shades of maroon and gray. Gold buttons lined the sleeve hems, and a thick, folded turtleneck added the finishing touches to her Fair Isle number. Take a closer look below.

Kate Middleton has loved this Christmas jumper since 2022
If you’re an avid follower of Kate Middleton’s wardrobe, you may recall having seen the royal in this very same layer on more than one occasion. Thee Fair Isle jacket was first worn by her in February 2022 for a special appearance on CBeebies Bedtime Stories, where the mother-of-three styled the piece with acid washed denims.
Middleton then ended the year by coming back to the jumper for a post that showed her prepping for 2022’s edition of the annual Christmas carol service, and not too long after, brought out the layer once more in February of 2023, styling it with a deep brown Darwin jacket by L.K. Bennett.
Over the years, Middleton has given us more than enough inspiration on how to repeat outfits for different occasions. Be it summery dresses or full-blown ball gowns, the royal knows a thing or two about looking stylish while also respecting sustainability codes. This fuzzy jumper is one of many festive wins in a closet full of favorites, and it’s safe to say that we’ll see Middleton coming back to many more tried-and-tested numbers before the year is over.
