Summer dress season is upon us, and the wardrobe staple has just received the royal stamp of approval from Kate Middleton. Currently on a tour of the Caribbean with Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge stepped out for their first dull day in Belize on Sunday, serving up ample style inspiration for the warm weather.

The royal’s outfit of choice for the sunny afternoon visit to a family-run cacao farm included a breezy dress from Tory Burch in a fail-safe floral print. White and red petals adorned the blue number, which featured a smocked bodice, short puff sleeves, and a calf-length skirt that came with tiers. Now (unsurprisingly) sold out, the easy-to-wear dress was paired with matching playful earrings from Sézane, which were made out of resin beads covered in blue thread. Middleton kept with the theme of woven accessories by swapping her wedges later in the day for a pair of white Stella McCartney raffia espadrilles, and carried one of her favorite purses, the straw fan clutch with red and white detailing from Anya Hindmarch.
This marked the second time the royal has picked a blue outfit during the week-long tour. Arriving in Belize, the Duchess gave a sartorial nod to the host country’s flag by wearing a lacey blue Jenny Packham peplum top and skirt with a matching purse and heels in a similar hue. Her jewelry too, was remarkable—Middleton wore sapphire drop earrings and a necklace that came from a suite gifted to Princess Diana by Saudi Arabia’s royal family on occasion of her wedding in 1981.
These outfits are the first two of many more noteworthy ensembles expected to be seen on Kate Middleton as the royal tour continues. After spending time in Belize, the couple will make their way to Jamaica and the Bahamas, before returning to the UK on March 27.
