Lebanese designer Reem Acra has found a fan in the First Lady of the US, Jill Biden, who continued her streak of outfits from the celebrity-loved brand this week. Recently on a tour of the MENA region, Biden visited Jordan, Egypt, and finally, Morocco, where she met with HRH Princess Lalla Hasna in Marrakesh.

For the occasion, the 72-year-old was dressed in a short, purple dress from the designer’s namesake label. The custom satin number has been worn by Biden previously at this year’s State of the Union address. This is not the first time the diplomat has championed the region and the practice of rewearing outfits in the name of sustainability.

Just last week, Biden attended the wedding of HRH Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan and HRH Princess Rajwa Al Hussein, dressed in another Reem Acra item from her wardrobe. The mauve-colored modest number she arrived for the nuptials in had also been her pick for the state dinner at the White House earlier this year, held in honor of the South Korean president.

The love for Reem Acra also runs in the family as the First Lady and President’s granddaughter Naomi Biden celebrated her wedding reception wearing a custom number from the brand. Acra was also the designer of choice for the First Lady, who wore two dresses from the brand on the special day: A custom couture silk chiffon vintage blue dress with a teal wool crepe coat for the ceremony and a gold embroidered seafoam blue dress for the black-tie reception.
