Jennifer Lopez is known for quite a few style signatures — including her incredible Hermès Birkin bag collection, oversized hoop earrings, and always a pair of giant aviator shades.
But this weekend, while attending the star-studded Toronto International Film Festival, Lopez debuted a brand new look that strayed from her usual fashion aesthetic: That would be Chloé’s boho-chic vibe. JLo slipped into designer Chemena Kamali’s nude, chiffon-ruffled dress that was both free-spirited and care-free. It was a far cry from the metallic, disco ball-worthy Tamara Ralph dress she wore to the same festival just a day prior — a piece more in line with her bold, outré style. However, she did bring a bit of bling into her look with some romantic gemstone-studded jewelry pieces by Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Overall, the look made it very clear that currently, Lopez is very much into the soft, bohemian trend that’s quickly taking over the red carpet this season. Take a closer look below.
Stars like Sienna Miller (a longtime Chloé fan, since the 2000s) and Maya Rudolph also stepped out in new Chloé designs this weekend. In Venice, Miller sported the label’s sheer white lace dress, paired with a large CHLOÉ logo belt, and a pair of leather over-the-knee boots. It was the perfect mix of tough, yet sweet. At the 2024 Creative Arts Emmys, Rudolph wore a sheer, ruffled gown from the fall 2024 collection, keeping it tonal with a pair of cream knee boots.
Clearly, a Chloé takeover is happening on the red carpet. (Other celebrities such as Selena Gomez are also on board.) Why are A-listers so fascinated with the boho revival? Well, after years of being “out” and banished from the cool stratosphere, the groovy look feels fresh once again — and red carpet dressing is always about keeping up with the Joneses, isn’t it? Why wouldn’t they be clawing their way to wear one of these distinctive looks, considered some of the hottest of the season? Their stylists are on top of it.
