Jennifer Lopez Stuns Dubai in a Printed Versace Dress (No, Not That One)

Ahead of her concert at Dubai’s Autism Rocks Arena on Friday, Jennifer Lopez enjoyed a quiet dinner with her partner, former Yankees player Alex Rodriguez (A-Rod) at Nobu restaurant in Atlantis. For the occasion, the superstar opted to wear a printed gown plucked from Versace’s Spring 2018 collection. Lopez shared a picture with her 70 million Instagram followers posing against a backdrop of the Dubai Marina wearing the green, printed gown, which is a riff on a classic Gianni Versace motif created in collaboration with Vogue magazine for the brand’s Spring 1991 collection.

The Latina beauty, who was spotted at Catch with Rodriguez the night before, paired the backless gown with drop earrings by Dean Davidson, and smoldering makeup, which consisted of nude lips, smoked-out eyes, and a bronzed complexion. Her hair was raked back into a high, face-lifting, power ponytail (crafted by celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton,) with a section of her glossy, caramel waves wrapped around the elastic band to conceal it.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that the ageless bombshell has turned heads wearing Versace. Nearly two decades ago, Lopez arrived to the 2000 Grammy’s wearing a plunging, green Versace gown that sent the  Internet into a frenzy. In fact, the jaw-dropping dress ultimately led to the creation of Google’s images search engine. In an essay published in January on Project Syndicate, Eric Schmidt, executive chairman of Google, writes: “At the time, it was the most popular search query we had ever seen. But we had no surefire way of getting users exactly what they wanted. As a result, Google Image Search was born.”
