Jada Pinkett Smith appeared on the radio show Sway In the Morning on Wednesday to promote her new film, Girls Trip in New York City. During the interview, she discussed her past and friendship with the late rapper Tupac Shakur, wearing a yellow blouse heightened with a matching canary coat signed Maison Rabih Kayrouz. The statement coat, plucked from the Lebanese designer’s Spring 2017 ready-to-wear collection, features tassels and a belt, which Pinkett Smith left loose. The actress took a laid-back approach to her trousers, opting for a pair of white, Céline trackpants.
We expect to see more A-listers who love bold colors to adore the designer’s Spring 2018 collection that was presented in July at Paris Fashion Week. While the hues were much more muted than one would expect from Kayrouz, next summer’s offering does feature a bold trench in grass green and a hot orange two-piece look that are not for the fashionably faint-hearted. Perhaps Jada will dabble in more from this Arab designer in future.
