The highly-anticipated debut issue of Vogue Arabia was revealed on Wednesday, featuring American-Palestinian model Gigi Hadid as the cover star. Wearing an embellished, custom-made veil, the 21-year-old was styled by designer Brandon Maxwell and photographed by renowned fashion photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. The duo also directed the ethereal short film Controlled Abandonment for the digital launch of Vogue Arabia and photographed the magazine’s haute couture editorial shoot, starring Taylor Hill and Yasmin Wijnaldum.
