The first Monday of May has come to be known universally as Fashion’s Biggest Night. And this year, the Met Gala red carpet brimmed with stars, many of whom embraced the theme of the night, ‘Guilded Glamour’, in noteworthy couture looks. Among the many familiar faces seen at the gala was that of Moroccan-Egyptian model Imaan Hammam, who attended in a look that can only be described as ethereal.

For her walk up the Met Gala stairs, Hammam opted for a powdery blue custom Oscar de la Renta that came with the most interesting details. Featuring a high neck, the billowing number came with risqué thigh-high slits, and a detachable double train that extended for meters behind her, creating a regal, goddess-like red carpet moment. What’s more, the tanzanite pleated silk chiffon creation also came with a dramatic low back, which served as a frame not only the model’s bronzed-to-perfection skin, but also for a set of delicately layered chains that added just the right amount of sparkle to her look.

To complete her Met Gala 2022 moment, Imaan Hammam complemented her airy Oscar de la Renta with Grecian waves pulled back into an artfully disheveled updo, a perfectly contoured face, soft smoky eyes, and dark, bold brows. Diamond jewelry in the form of earrings and bracelets added final touches, along with a pair of silver Aquazzura heels.
