Now Watch: How to Upgrade Your Style in One High-Tech Move

Leading smartphone e-brand Honor has just launched its new Honor 8X smartphone in a traffic-stopping red hue (modeled in the video above) in the Middle East. Below, we round up five reasons to consider trading in your current model for the new millennial-favorite gadget.

The color
The gadget comes in a vibrant red hue that serves as a welcome departure from the monochromatic shades of black, white, and occasionally silver that we’re so used to seeing. The shade is so beautifully bold, you’ll want to show it off proudly— rendering a phone case completely unnecessary.

It helps prevent wrinkles
The Honor 8X is the first and only smartphone to come equipped with a new and certified “eye comfort mode” that prevents eye fatigue by reducing blue light emission from the screen. This in turn also prevents pre-mature fine lines and wrinkles, which can be accelerated by regularly exposing the face to the damaging blue light and electromagnetic radiation emitted by smartphones.

The selfies, of course
The Honor 8X has also infused the phone’s camera app with its AI technology, so it can recognize “500 scenarios in 22 different categories in real-time” and help stabilize low-light shots with its Artificial Image Stabilization feature, meaning your photo-taking skills are about to get even better.

You’ll save a lot of money
Unlike many smartphones, which can often retail in the thousands of dirhams, the new Honor 8X comes with an attractive price tag to match its scene-stealing new color. US $250 will get you 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, or you can spend a little bit more and upgrade to 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. Although, with an additional MicroSD card slot that extends the phone’s storage to 400GB, we have a feeling you won’t need that upgrade after all.

You don’t have to charge it multiple times a day
The new gadget comes with an extended battery life (3,750mAh to be more specific), meaning that you won’t have to carry a portable charger around in case your phone unexpectedly dies midday.
