Fashion Month is almost over for another season, with the last of the Spring 2019 collections waltzing down the runway. And, as the shows come to a close, all the editors, industry icons, and style stars will be repacking their suitcases, and jetting back home until Fall 2019 kicks off in February. Among them are the Abdel Aziz sisters and Ola Farahat, who’ve traveled between the fashion capitals to catch all the big-name shows. Here, they reveal to Vogue.me all their style secrets for the month, as well as their favorite labels and must-visit destinations in Paris and Milan.

What have you packed for Fashion Week?

I usually pack a good pair of vintage denims, a black dress, and my essential black and nude heels. As for accessories, I always overpack! I brought everything from colorful bags and earrings to hair clips, sunglasses, and statement hats. I can mix and match these with my outfits to help me really stand out.

What will we find in your beauty bag?

Long-lasting foundation, of course – I am usually out all day and not back until late so I need something long-wearing. I also packed a good face wash and scrub, and lots of brightening masks.

What was the inspiration for your Fashion Week outfits?

I started preparing about 10 days before I actually traveled. The inspiration was very 70s, with lots of bright colors like green, turquoise, and yellow – like the highlighter markers we used in high school. Many brands have very edgy looks at the moment, and I’m definitely incorporating that into my style while still making sure it looks feminine and soft.

What were your favorite shows or runway trends?

I usually get invited to the shows that represent my style the most. I’ve been attending the Dolce & Gabbana show for a few years now and it’s always such an experience because the designers are so innovative with the presentation of the designs and it’s always one of my favorites

What are the places you absolutely have to visit when you’re in Milan or Paris?

There is a small pizza joint close to the Duomo in Milan called Spontini – Duomo Mazzini. It’s really popular amongst the locals and I accidentally discovered it – it’s literally the best thing I’ve ever tried!

What have you packed for Fashion Week?

I packed two big suitcases and one carry on for Fashion Week. For five days in Milan and 10 in Paris, I brought 15 outfits for daytime and 15 for the evenings, dinners, shows and after-parties, not to mention all the clothes I received in Milan. My sisters made fun of me because I packed 40 pairs of shoes, but I took all my favorites and I’m definitely wearing them all. They needed a big suitcase just for themselves. I also took 10 handbags with me, and 15 pair of sunglasses.

What will we find in your beauty bag?

I packed two mini bags for makeup – one for the brushes, and one for the products. A third bag holds my moisturizer, face wash, hydration cream, shampoo, face masks, serum, perfumes, body lotions, mini hair spray, shampoo, conditioner…

What was the inspiration for your Fashion Week outfits?

My sisters and I started preparing for Fashion Week one month before we traveled. This year I wore lots of ankle boots, leopard print with a blazer slung over the top, lunchbox bags, cowboy boots, and nude colors.

What were your favorite shows or runway trends?

My favorite show was Fendi, along with Elisabetta Franchi and Philipp Plein. My favorite trends were the 80s-inspired pieces, the focus on brown and neon hues, waist belts, and unexpected accessories.

What are the places you absolutely have to visit when you’re in Milan or Paris?

When it comes to Milan, I love to visit the Duomo and the Piazza della Scala. To eat, I love Il Salumaio di Montenapoleone and Il Baretto al Baglioni. In Paris, I like to stroll through Saint Germain, Montmartre, and Le Marais. Restaurant-wise, I adore Le Relais de l’Entrecote, Le Grand Venise, and Café de Flore.

What have you packed for Fashion Week?

I was definitely over my allowance! I took three big suitcases, because it’s hot in Milan and cold in Paris, so outfits for both seasons were packed. I took more clothes than I can count, and I packed more than 20 pairs of shoes!

What will we find in your beauty bag?
My creams, sunscreen, makeup, perfume, and Dior lip balm.

What was the inspiration for your Fashion Week outfits?

It wasn’t limited to just one look or style. I packed everything from sport-chic looks for the day, to glamorous outfits for all the parties.

What were your favorite shows or runway trends?

I would vote Fendi and Philipp Plein. My favorite looks were the biker shorts and the long over-the-knee boots.

What are the places you absolutely have to visit when you’re in Milan or Paris?

The Duomo is a must-visit in Milan; grab a coffee and soak up the Italian vibes with a great view. As for Paris, I wouldn’t miss going for my favorite croissant at Ladurée.

What have you packed for Fashion Week?

What have I not packed! I took three massive suitcases full of clothes, shoes, bags, accessories, sunglasses, and makeup. All together, I took more than 14 dresses, 12 pairs of shoes, five suits, five pairs of shorts, five skirts, 25 sunglasses… the list goes on.

What will we find in your beauty bag?

My favorite makeup, a day cream, moisturizing cream, exfoliator, makeup remover, night serum, hair spray, hair mask, and lip balm.

What was the inspiration for your Fashion Week outfits?

I selected my outfits before traveling. I usually have them saved onto my phone so I remember what to wear, especially during Fashion Weeks as you need to change multiple times a day. I get inspired by what’s trending but I always add a personal touch to look different, so I did mix and match most of my looks. My first outfit was inspired by animal prints so I wore a leopard shirt and biker shorts.

What were your favorite shows or runway trends?

So far, my favorite show was Moschino. Gigi Hadid looked incredibly gorgeous in that out-of-the-box wedding dress. It gave us butterflies!

What are the places you absolutely have to visit when you’re in Milan or Paris?

In Milan, I always take in the Duomo, as well as the Four Seasons Hotel, and the Italian restaurants with their amazing pizzas and pastas. In Paris, a must-visit is my favorite hotel, Plaza Athénée, and the ChampsÉlysées and the Eiffel Tower. My favorite restaurant is L’Avenue.
