Homegrown Market, the Jeddah-based multi-brand concept store founded by Tamara Khadra (mom to the fashionable jet-setting twins Simi and Haze) in 2014, serves as a platform for young, local talents and emerging regional brands. And the retailer is going international this summer, hosting a pop-up in London from June 28 to July 1.

The four-day pop-up will take place at 18 Lowndes Street from 11am to 7pm. Featuring Middle Eastern labels such as Fyunka, Nasiba Hafiz, and The Abaya Factory, the event will give shoppers in London access to established and emerging Arab talent, which may be difficult to come across in the UK. Other brands that will be occupying the pop-up space include Saudi kaftan labels Moja Majka and Rouba Dayani; abaya brands Badawiah and Amina Atelier; jewelry label Yataghan; and lifestyle brand La Suna. In addition to lifestyle brands, Homegrown Market invites customers to shop handcrafted homeware accessories and discover local food concepts in an interactive environment.

Back in 2014, Khadra explained of the concept, “We live in a community hungry for a creative outlet. There is a wealth of creative talent in the Middle East. Homegrown aims to facilitate designers having a personalized space to help them grow and aims to inspire and discover new talent. I want to help put Middle Eastern designers on the map.” London is a great start.
