As guests arrived at Westminster Abbey for the long-awaited coronation of King Charles III, fashion remained at the forefront of watchers’ minds. As expected, elegantly designed dresses and perfectly tailored suits were accompanied by stunning fascinators, ideal for the historic occasion. Among the notables guests – a selection of monarchs, dignitaries, and popular celebrities such as Katy Perry – the Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and wife Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani painted a picture of sartorial sophistication.

For the big day, Sheikha Jawaher opted for a distinctively graceful gown in muted tones of beige, light gray, and white from Dior’s FW 2022 couture collection. While her dress was covered in embroidery, she toned down the rest of her look with a simple being cape, while her matching clutch and jewelry added to the overall elegance of her ensemble. A swept-back hairstyle and natural makeup completed a look that will certainly provide inspiration for formal occasions for years to come.

The Qatari royal seems to have a certain affinity towards Dior as her second look from the coronation weekend was also from the French luxury fashion house. For the coronation reception at Buckingham Palace on Friday night, Sheikha Jawaher opted for another understated haute couture look – this one was in blue, from Dior’s FW 21 collection.

This is not the first time that the stunning Arab royal has provided some serious fashion inspiration for the region. Just last year, the Sheikha made headlines for her ensembles on a visit to the Spanish royal palace – diamond jewelry, an Hermès Kelly, and a dazzling black dress were some of the highlights.
