On Tuesday night in Dubai, Hermès cut the ribbon for its largest store in the Middle East. Housed in the Dubai Mall’s newly-opened extension of Fashion Avenue, the new boutique was dreamed up by Parisian architecture agency RDAI. The multi-storey flagship carries the luxury Parisian brand’s coveted womenswear, accessories, silk, leather goods, equestrian, fragrances, and homeware inside its nearly 1000 square meters space. The inauguration of the new boutique was celebrated with a unique carnival inspired by Hermès’ 2018 theme of the year, “Let’s Play.” Dubai’s most fashionable gathered at the Burj Park, which was transformed into an immersive fun fair— aptly named “Hermès Fantasy”— equipped with all of the elements you’d typically find at your average outdoor theme park: A merry-go-round, a house of mirrors, and festival lights.
Hermès Fantasy is open to the public from March 21-22. Entrance is free.
