Just picture for a second a world where you can make an online purchase and receive it at your front door in less than two hours. Though the concept may seem a bit far-fetched, luxury ecommerce platform Farfetch has partnered with Gucci for the Store to Door in 90 Minutes service so you don’t have to imagine anymore. The 90-minute, direct-to-consumer service will fulfill orders from select Gucci stores in 10 cities across four continents, including Dubai, London, New York, and Paris.
Customers can choose their favorite designer items from a range of Gucci ready-to-wear clothes, bags, and accessories via the Farfetch website or app, that will then be delivered directly to their door in just 90 minutes from the time the order is made.
“Known for their cutting-edge fashion, retail excellence, and ability to anticipate customer needs, Gucci is the perfect partner to launch this service with. Time is the new luxury and one that we all want more of. At Farfetch we want to give that luxury back to our customers by making as many delivery options available as possible. If you need just the right dress or pair of shoes for dinner that night, we can make sure you have it wherever you are,” said José Neves, CEO and founder of Farfetch, in a statement.

This service represents the type of new service level that the luxury fashion industry needs to embrace in order to meet the ever-increasing expectation among luxury customers today, for an outstanding level of service that is flexible and seamless across channels and geographical locations.”
This isn’t the first time the ecommerce site has gone above and beyond for their customers to ensure that they get their luxury fix. In 2015, the platform launched an exclusive service called Farfetch & Away, that allowed all orders made on the website to be delivered to select European ports that are nearest to Farfetch’s partnered boutiques.
