Star Spotting: Salma Hayek Pinault, Dua Lipa and More at Gucci’s London Show

From Salma Hayek Pinault to Dua Lipa and Demi Moore, these are all the stars we saw attending the Gucci Cruise 2025 show in London.

Last night marked a special milestone for Gucci, with Sabato De Sarno, the fashion house‘s new creative director, showcasing his very first Cruise collection for the maison.

For those who missed it, Gucci Cruise 2025 made its debut at Tate Modern in London. “I owe a lot to this city, it has welcomed and listened to me. The same is true for Gucci, whose founder was inspired by his experience there,” De Sarno explained. “To explore a creative direction is to bring yourself into an already-existing space and show it through your eyes, working from room to room with the goal of reshaping the building again. We choose London for the Cruise show, knowing that was the right choice. The House’s return is driven by a desire to be immersed in its distinctive essence, its creative driving force with its limitless capability to put together contrasts, make them converse, and find ways to coexist. Today we are here to celebrate that spirit. Tate Modern is the perfect cross-section to narrate the city’s essence, with its great Turbine Hall that welcomes and gathers everyone, and with the Tanks, generators of ideas.”

Taking cues from Sabato De Sarno’s memories and recollections of places, people and ideas, the Gucci Cruise 2025 collection brought past and present together in a celebration of Britishness — Englishness with an Italian accent, if you will. Blending rigor and extravagance, strength in delicacy, the line offered up short coats juxtaposed with wild chamomile flora motifs, tartans, plaid and tailoring reinterpreted as the most delicate embroidered bead fringe, and horsebit details serving as a link between the house and the equestrian world. As for the floral elements, Sabato De Sarno put forth 3D flower embroideries in laser-cut organza — all assembled by hand to create dreamy pieces that seemed to mould themselves around the body.

There to celebrate the sartorial moment and get the first look at Gucci Cruise 2025 were some of the fashion house’s favorite faces. While Vogue Arabia’s May 2024 cover star Salma Hayek Pinault walked in wearing a one-shoulder LBD with silver accessories, Sabrina Elba opted for a sparkling gray number, and Alia Bhatt picked a deep purple bodycon dress. Below, take a closer look at what the front row wore to the show.
