Here’s How You Can Watch Gucci’s Cruise 2020 Show Live From Rome

After having traveled to cities like New York, Florence, London, and Arles, Gucci is staying home for its Cruise 2020 show. The city of Rome, which is the birthplace of Creative Director Alessandro Michele, will play host to the designer’s vision for the season.

The Italian fashion designer’s love for the “Ancient World” has resulted in the museums on ancient Rome’s Capitoline Hills as the location. Perched on the top of the hills, not only is the museum complex an architectural marvel but also the oldest in the world displaying Roman, medieval and Renaissance-era artifacts.

“The choice of location continues Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele’s dialogue with the old world, this time drawing from a place reminiscent of his childhood,” said the fashion house in a statement. “Located on the Capitoline Hill, the Museums offer a unique look inside centuries-old history of Ancient Rome through a rich antiquities collection.”

The fashion house has also pledged its financial support over the next two years in restoring the historically significant Rupe Tarpea, a rock face on the south side of the Capitoline Hill.

The visuals of Gucci’s Cruise 2020 collection against the backdrop of ancient Rome will not be one to miss. Catch the runway show live below on May 28 at 9:00 p.m. UAE time/ 8:00 p.m. KSA time.
