From 2011 to Now: 80 Pictures Charting Gigi Hadid’s Style Evolution

It’s no doubt that Gigi Hadid is one of the best-dressed models of her generation, having rubbed shoulders with the biggest designers after making her runway debut as a young adult. The part-Palestinian model has since been known to take runways by storm, but her off-duty style is just as remarkable as her CV.

Hadid’s wardrobe for her early appearances was not unlike that of a fashionable teenager’s at the time, with crop tops and skinny jeans worn with heels dominating her looks. The years after that saw her grow out of her girly-girl mini dresses with the help of bolder and edgier looks picked from coveted fashion brands like Versace, Balmain, and David Koma. It’s also when her penchant for masculine-leaning looks came in via ripped jeans, flannel shirts, and athleisure. Due to Hadid’s rising popularity as a model, she found herself on a number of red carpet events, often dazzling in slinky gowns and jumpsuits. However, when snapped up by paparazzi on the streets, Hadid was spotted in elevated casuals in bright colors, which she favors to this day. When the model is not dressed in denim and sweatpants with jackets and fitted tops, however, she appears to love stepping out in blazers and pantsuits that come in statement silhouettes and prints.

After giving birth to Khai, her daughter with Zayn Malik, Hadid also found comfort in roomy sweatsuits and cardigans. After returning to the runway, the wardrobe of the mother-of-one currently sees a balance between ease and style, and a palette of muted neutrals with occasional pops of color.
