Has Gigi Hadid grown a few inches? It seems so. This week, she stepped out in an extremely chunky shoe that put the model-adored Balenciaga Triple S clunkers to rest. The sudden growth spurt was courtesy of a pair of light pink, super-soled Buffalo sneakers from the label’s recent collaboration with Opening Ceremony. Fun fact: the German label gained popularity in the ‘90s at raves and was famously worn by the Spice Girls, as well, and was re-launched this May.
Of course, a Buffalo deserves undivided attention. (After all, those hefty soles are hard to miss—especially in baby pink!). To let the the footwear stand out, Hadid wore a relatively simple summer look that included a T-shirt turned tank top, thanks to its scrunched sleeves, a pair of distressed shorts, and a cross-body bag. To emphasize the 2.5-inch platform, the model wore pulled-up white socks for a touch of dad fashion.
