Gigi Hadid Celebrates Former Creative Director of Moschino Jeremy Scott On Instagram

Over the weekend, Gigi Hadid took to Instagram to honor Jeremy Scott, the former creative director of Moschino who is known for his tongue-in-cheek eclecticism and an out-of-the-box view of fashion.

The Palestinian-Dutch model celebrated Scott by posting some of the work she has done for Moschino since he took over as creative director in 2013. Most notable of the set was a photo of Hadid with the American designer himself, as the model sported a Moschino bridal dress from Milan Fashion Week in 2018. “Every season with you in that house was an adventure, joy, & inspiration, and it was an honor to be even a small part of,” she stated in her caption, adding that some of her most memorable campaigns and runway moments were with “Jeremy’s Moschino.”

Some notable moments from Hadid’s work with Moschino and Scott include viral episodes, such as the giant baby bottle in her hand at the Spring 2022 Ready-to-Wear runway as she carried the designer’s playfully kitschy ensembles; the SS 2018 runway which saw the model transform into a human bouquet, and the controversial alien campaign.

Scott has become a prominent name in fashion, one who is known for keeping the industry on its toes with moves such as a see-now-buy-now runway collection in collaboration with McDonald’s, or bringing inflatables to Milan Fashion Week in a campy nod to inflation. When the designer (who is often credited with reviving Moschino) announced that he was stepping down as creative director, the news was viewed as heartbreaking for many in the industry.

“I’ve had a blast creating designs that will live on forever. I am grateful for all the love and support I’ve received over this past decade. As I close this chapter I am filled with excitement and anticipation and can’t wait to share with you all what I have in store for you next,” he stated in an Instagram post at the time. Most recently, the designer was seen on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art with Devon Aoki – the iconic model was dressed in one of his designs – for the Met Gala.
