From 18th-century monarchs and 20th-century princesses to modern-day style icons, Vacheron Constantin timepieces have adorned the pockets and wrists of some of the most inspiring women from each era for more than 265 years. Reflecting society’s evolving definition of femininity through bespoke silhouettes and jeweled motifs, each of the luxury watchmaker’s key collections is an embodiment of the values and sensibilities of an elegantly empowered woman at the time. Today’s admiration toward the beauty of a custom haute couture design unites with the appreciation of the impeccable craftsmanship synonymous of haute horlogerie in Vacheron Constantin’s newest masterpieces: the Égérie collection.

Named after the Roman mythological nymph Egeria, Égérie is an anthem to the contemporary muses of the creative world. Steeped in the heritage of one of the oldest luxury watch manufacturers in the world, the latest pieces perpetuate the brand’s founding ethos of “one of not many” in three unique models–self-winding, moon phase, and moon phase diamond-pavé–each offering its own editions in 18kt pink gold, white gold, or steel.

Woven through each watch is a pleated motif reminiscent of the intricate finishings often found on a couture creation, brought to life through an ancient art of tapestry in Vacheron’s specialized workshops. Precious diamonds dusting the outside of the case evoke memories of a gown’s delicate embroidery while the exclusively-created calligraphic 18kt gold numerals showcase the understated power of even the most minute details from an atelier’s artisans.

The house’s signature asymmetric aesthetic appears once again on the off-center displays of intertwining circles, perpetuating the subtle Swiss sophistication for which Vacheron is recognized. Easily interchangeable leather straps for the gold versions epitomize the versatility of the modern woman while the “second skin” steel bracelet adapts to any affair, day or night.

A timepiece deserving of its own red carpet moment, the moonphase diamond-pavé sparkles with 292 round-cut diamonds outlining the case and 510 diamonds decorating the dial in a remarkable statement of opulence. A mother-of-pearl moon peeks out from behind a translucent sapphire crystal cloud while the deep blue alligator leather strap–and accompanying satin option–is the crowning touch for jewelry embued with majesty.
