In exciting news, Egyptian-Lebanese photographer Toufic Araman’s video project produced in collaboration with Vogue Arabia is scaling new heights. The film titled Finding MĀ has been selected for the London Fashion Film Festival 2019 — one of the world’s most important events to celebrate the art of fashion and film.
The Egyptian-Lebanese photographer, who splits his time between New York and Dubai, rounded up a crew of ultra-talented creatives that included stylists, poets, sound composers, editors, among others to realize this vision of wanderlust, which translated into a beautiful fashion film that flawlessly captures the similarities (and differences) of the two cities he calls home. “Finding MĀ is finding oneself between here and there. The journey between space and time. It is the cross roads of two cities I lived,” award-winning fashion photographer Araman had explained. “MĀ refers to rooms, as well as spaces between structures,” he stated.
On September 13, at the Regent Street Cinema in Marylebone, London, the screening of Finding MĀ will take place before the nominees and winners are announced. In the race to win the award, Finding MĀ has received promising reviews and is the first-ever film in the fashion category to be selected from the region. Watch the striking clip above.
