Watch How Vacheron Constantin’s Timepieces Elevate Farnoush Hamidian’s Travel Wardrobe

Nothing beats the charm of a stunning watch. In the pages of Vogue Arabia, model Farnoush Hamidian gives us a crash course in styling some of Vacheron Constantin’s timepieces.

Ever since its inception in 1755, luxury watchmaking brand Vacheron Constantin has delighted the world with its exquisite creations. What sets Vacheron Constantin’s timepieces apart from the rest is their ability to rely on age-old techniques and traditions, while seamlessly harnessing innovation, new technologies, and modern aesthetics. Cases in point: Some of the most appealing watches from the watchmaking house, seen on the arm of Farnoush Hamidian in Vogue Arabia’s pages.

A closer look at Vacheron Constantin’s timepieces: The Overseas collection

Posing for Vogue Arabia, Iranian beauty Farnoush Hamidian sports not one, but two of Vacheron Constantin’s timepieces from the Overseas collection: the Overseas self-winding in 18ct pink gold set with 84 round-cut diamonds, and the Overseas self-winding in steel set with 84 round-cut diamonds. But what is it that makes this particular collection so special?

Designed in four new models, Vacheron Constantin’s Overseas watches now come in pink gold and steel, featuring a 35mm diameter dial for gem-set versions, and 34.55mm for non-set pieces. Slimmer and more ergonomic than previous editions, the new age of the Oversees watches look even more sleek and slender on the hand, making them perfect for those on-the-go. “These new watches correspond to an aesthetic trend dictated by more classical standards,” says Christian Selmoni, director of style and heritage at Vacheron Constantin. “It is characterized by a reduction in the size of the watches, which are equally suited to both men’s and women’s wrists.”

Both wearable and beautiful, the Oversees watches feature hours and minutes indications, along with central seconds and a date display at 3 o’ clock. A velvety finish on the minutes track adds further dimension to the face of the dial by creating a sunburst-like effect. To ensure the watch can be easily read at night, the hours and minutes hands, and the hour markers in pink or white gold feature Super-LumiNova® inlays.

Taking the versatility of Vacheron Constantin’s timepieces further are the interchangeable buckles, clasp bracelet, and straps of each watch. Each reference is accompanied by three bracelets or straps: one integrated metal bracelet, along with two straps in rubber and calfskin. Interchangeable clasps and buckles, another new feature to the Oversees collection, help update looks again and again. All watches have also been fitted with Calibre 1088/1, which sets the pace for the watches to perfection.

Say hello to the newest addition to the Traditionnelle collection

While the Overseas collection serves as a classic that never goes out of style, Vacheron Constantin’s Traditionnelle timepiece never disappoints. Seen on Farnoush Hamidian, the manual winding watch stands out for its deep green sunburst dial, surrounded by 54 sparkling diamonds. Amplifying its beauty is its tone-on-tone alligator leather strap. Calibre 4400AS, with a 42-hour power reserve, makes this a timepiece worth adding to your wishlist.
