Although Fendi‘s signature accessory first began making waves in the industry back in the 90s, the Baguette bag’s continued success today evokes a sense of coveted nostalgia in this generation’s topmost trendsetters. In honor of its legendary comeback and its testament to women supporting women, the Italian house released a video campaign last year with the slogan #BaguetteBestFriends. Each short film stars the world’s most celebrated style personalities touting the iconic bag across the world, from American actor Kiernan Shipka indulging in a Roman holiday to Japanese comedian Naomi Watanabe enjoying a front-row seat at the Fendi runway.
The newest clip in the nine-episode series, called “The Unexpected Baguette”, features Fendi friend of the house supermodel Winnie Harlow with her real-life best friend Jamaican influencer Shannon Hamilton as they explore the glamorous sights of Miami with a revolving door of Baguettes in tow. The two models don different styles of the reimagined it-bag complete with the famous FF motif in a palette of colors more vivid than the next and fabrics ranging from the classic nappa leather to the nontraditional straw, jacquard, and terry. Whether hand-carried in Miami’s Design District or worn cross-body on the beach, the rectangular accessory appears in four distinct sizes—pico, nano, medium, and large—for a lifesaving solution to whatever adventure the day brings the famous duo.
