In a groundbreaking fusion of fashion and performance, Loewe is set to soon unveil its collaborative collection with performance brand On. The duo have come together to create the Cloudtilt shoe, a one-of-a-kind number that blends Swiss engineering with meticulous craftsmanship. And one of the first people to get their hands on the new kicks is racing driver Amna Al Qubaisi, best known for being the first Emirati woman to win a Formula 4 UAE Trophy Race at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in 2019, and the first to compete in a Formula E test in Saudi Arabia in 2018.

In Loewe’s latest pictures, Al Qubaisi can be seen giving the lime green version of the Cloudtilt her seal of approval. The new collab isn’t just one worth noting for its playful palette and street cred. It also marks Loewe and On’s shared journey into the realms of artistry and technology. The collection will be available exclusively at the Loewe x On pop-up at the Mall of the Emirates — going live on October 12. The immersive space offers a kinetic floor experience, where LED screens respond to your every movement, creating real-time artistic ripples and patterns.

The defining feature of the Cloudtilt shoe is its revolutionary silhouette, adorned with sequentially collapsing ‘clouds’. These clouds dynamically adapt the shoe to the wearer’s every move, ensuring a seamless weight transfer from heel to toe. Inspired by the boundless possibilities of human motion, the Cloudtilt boasts the incorporation of CloudTec® Phase, a computer-generated midsole technology that minimizes components while maximizing cushioning for an incredibly lightweight experience.

The new kicks from the Loewe x On collab showcase a sleek knitted sock construction, speed laces, and Loewe logos. The outsole of each shoe, composed of EVA foam, ensures a soft landing and is mindfully designed with minimal rubber usage, reserved for targeted contact spots. The upper body is engineered from 99% recycled polyester, cementing Loewe × On’s commitment to both performance and sustainability.

In an environmentally conscious move, all packaging for the shoes is crafted from 100% recycled industrial materials. What’s more, the Cloudtilt collection will come in two distinct drops, each offering a unique color palette. For both men and women, this footwear is set to make a statement in October 2023 and January 2024.
