Elie Saab takes its Resort 2020 collection to the high seas. Named “Coastal Crossroads”, the collection is a nod to the rich cultural heritage of empires along the shores of the Mediterranean, from Batroun to Carthage.
Jet-set this season in the collection’s relaxed kaftans, voluminous skirts and airy dresses or opt for its ornate tops, tuxedos in metallic green and black jacquard and slick-cut blazers for a more structured look. Elie Saab also revisits the Bermuda-style shorts which features a floral collage print inspired by ancient Carthage. Delicate pieces find a place in the collection with the collection’s strong emphasis on intricate embroidery, along with beaded crochet, floral garden and antique tile motifs inspired by vintage ruins.
For those looking to add splashes of bright colors to their holiday outfits, the Resort 2020 collection boasts a vibrant color palette of royal pacific blue, mango yellow, and carmen red. Each look is made complete with leather and the new textile-like wicker handbags, sandals which are adorned with stripes of gold chains, as well as large-framed eyewear with thin, asymmetrical golden metallic rims.
