Dubai has long been a considered the main shopping destination in the Middle East, boasting the world’s largest shopping destination, the Dubai Mall. And now, it has gotten even bigger (another one million square feet, to be exact) with a massive extension, housing over 150 brands. The mall’s recently-opened extension is an add-on to the Fashion Avenue, and features a number of esteemed luxury labels (that can be accessed via a lit-up archway), with many others set to make their Middle East debut in the coming weeks. Read on to discover more about the new boutiques in the Dubai Mall’s expansion that we’re most excited about. Credit cards at the ready.

Measuring over 5,000 square feet over three floors, the new flagship displays an extensive range of the luxury brand’s highly-covetable women’s and men’s products, including ready-to-wear, handbags, small leather goods, shoes, jewelry, luggage, fragrances and eyewear. An added bonus? There is a “Customization Atelier,” a service, which allows clients to create their own personalized bag using an array of exotic skins and styles. The opening of the new boutique was feted with a special, limited-edition collection of handbags and sandals that are available exclusively in the Dubai Mall extension. On your marks, get set, shop.

Loewe
Loewe has had a presence in the Dubai Mall for years, but now holds a larger and more exclusive space in the Dubai Mall’s new extension to showcase the label’s highly-covetable ready-to-wear and accessories collections. Following the Casa Loewe retail concept as developed by the brands creative director Jonathan Anderson in Tokyo and Madrid, the new flagship opened its doors on March 5. The newly-opened space has a modern feel to it, featuring walnut, limestone, and the brand’s signature green agate interiors as well as commissioned rugs handpicked by Anderson himself.

Gucci
Lauded as one of the biggest Gucci boutiques in the world, the House’s massive retail destination spans more than 1000 square meters across three floors. Housed inside the velvet walls of the new flagship is the luxury Italian label’s highly sought-out men’s and women’s wear, shoes, handbags, leather goods, luggage, silks, eyewear, jewelry, and watches. The brand’s creative director Alessandro Michele had a hand in the design concept, which is ever so present in the velvet armchairs, massive staircase, and oriental rugs that decorate the space.

Alaïa
The Dubai Mall is home to the newest Alaïa store. Poised to open in upcoming days, the boutique comes only months after the iconic Tunisian couturier’s tragic death in November. Shoppers can expect pieces from the designer’s last Fall 2017 collection, in addition to new designs, created by the studio team who will continue to work from his archives. Currently, Alaïa has only two boutiques, both in Paris, with plans to open up a flagship in London (date TBA).

Dolce & Gabbana

Designed by esteemed Italian architect Marco Costanzi, the new Dolce & Gabbana boutique in the Dubai Mall extension is the label’s biggest store in the region. Occupying three floors, the new flagship hosts the brand’s full range of women’s, men’s, children’s, as well as accessories collections. There is also space dedicated to showcasing Dolce & Gabbana Beauty makeup and fragrances, including the prestigious Velvet Collection. As for the décor, it commands just as much attention as the brand’s designs, featuring display tables in Sahara Noir marble and grey onyx, Baroque chairs and mirrors, and elegant red velvet drapery.
