The typical good suit is a lot of things (chic, understated, and professional being key buzzwords), but you likely don’t think of it as a glitzy going-out piece, right? Wrong! As Dua Lipa proved this week, a tailored two-piece is totally dazzling—as long as it’s covered in jewels. In a series of Instagram fit pics posted this morning, the star served up her take on suiting, and it has us rethinking our approach entirely.

In between rehearsals for her ongoing Future Nostalgia tour, Lipa snapped some photos in a blingy suit from Jacquemus’s spring 2020 collection (the designer, Simon Porte Jacquemus, was right by her side). With dangling crystals covering the entirety of it, the design felt surprisingly formal and ready for a party. The way she styled it helped, too. Lipa paired it with big blue earrings and crystal-studded mules.

Now, sure, throwing on statement jewelry can always take a look from day to night—but why sport diamond accessories for a night on the town when you can rock an entirely-bejeweled outfit? Stars like Lipa and Miley Cyrus are already on board with the uber-glamorous suit, as are labels like Tom Ford and Versace. It’s safe to say we officially are now, too.
