Drake fans, rejoice: the rapper is releasing a new song inspired by upcoming collection, the brand’s style director Kim Jones announced on Instagram. The song, titled “Signs,” will premiere on Louis Vuitton’s official website at 4.30pm Dubai time in conjunction with the French luxury house’s Paris Fashion Week menswear showcase.
The Toronto native took to his own Instagram page to confirm the news, writing, “New song inspired by @louisvuitton @mrkimjones new collection. Drake x LV premieres tomorrow produced by @ovo40”
Drake will be joining the lineup of rappers and singers to premiere songs inspired by luxury fashion labels. Frank Ocean recently debuted an R&B track titled “Chanel,” while ASAP Rocky paid homage to Raf Simons with his new single “Raf.”
This certainly wouldn’t be the first time Drake is inspired by high fashion. In 2013, he collaborated with rapper trio Migos on a track titled “Versace.” Could this mean that there is a potential collaboration with Louis Vuitton (or better yet, a new album) on the way? Watch this space.
