The majestic Pettolecchia La Fortezza set the stage for an extraordinary event this weekend—the 2023 Dolce & Gabbana Alta Gioielleria show. Nestled amid expansive olive groves that stretched all the way to the coast, this recently restored 15th-century castle served as the backdrop for a truly magical experience.

As the timeless charm of the castle mingled with the intoxicating scent of wild myrtle and the gentle caress of the sea breeze, Dolce & Gabbana unveiled their exceptional Alta Gioielleria collection, aptly named ‘Green Gold – Olive Oil.’

Drawing inspiration from the olive tree, the legendary fashion duo, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana revealed a series of jewelry pieces that embraced the raw beauty of nature. Each stone used in the collection was left unheated and untreated, celebrating its natural allure with custom cuts that paid homage to the everlasting essence of the olive tree.

From miniature hand-painted olives to golden branches and leaves delicately adorning necklaces, the collection expertly captured the olive’s symbolism of abundance and vitality. Olive green tourmalines and stones resembling olives adorned these exquisite pieces, culminating in necklaces that evoked the graceful beauty of nature. Each stone, deliberately irregular in shape, mirrored the imperfect perfection of the olive tree, adding to its innate charm.

This year, custom cuts took center stage, ensuring that every stone was precisely shaped to suit its unique design. Trapezoid-cut diamonds wove intricate curves and shapes, amplifying the beauty of the necklaces and sets. The collection adored its emeralds adorned with tsavorite pavé, presented in a mesmerizing array of shades and intensities.
