Online shoppers rejoice—luxury French maison Dior has unveiled a virtual pop-up shop exclusively developed for the UAE for the first time in the Middle East. Curated with its UAE-based clientele in mind, the digital boutique features a new Ramadan capsule collection showcasing Dior’s iconic creations reimagined for the region as well as a special selection of the house’s essential accessories just in time for Eid-Al Fitr gifting.
Masterfully blending the timeless elegance for which Dior is renowned with the delicate femininity of a contemporary woman, the Rose Gold capsule designed for the Holy Month reinterprets the house’s heritage pieces in shades of pink and metallic grey in homage to Christian Dior‘s favorite colors. “A unique way of perpetuating the wonder and the art of gifting and treating oneself that Monsieur Dior so loved,” released the brand in a statement.
The legendary Bar jacket is reborn in a reflection of all that shimmers while intricately embroidered tulle, lace, and mesh return as the maison’s star materials in an array of blush-hued ready-to-wear options that exude the savoir-faire essence of haute couture. Browse varieties of Dior’s cult-classic footwear including the J’Adior pumps and cotton mules to the house’s most popular bags for a statement accompaniment, from the pictures of sophistication Lady Dior and 30 Montaigne silhouettes to the celebrity-loved Dior Book Tote.

Although originally created for its physical boutiques in the region, the capsule can now instead be purchased directly from the newly launched digital store in light of the ongoing pandemic. Even as malls begin reopening across the country, Dior continues to offer complimentary delivery to all seven emirates and a turnaround time of up to five working days for the ultimate social distancing shopping experience. “In these unprecedented times, Dior remains committed to continuing to satisfy and surprise its customers while respecting the strictest safety standards,” continued the release.
This is not the first time the UAE has been the choice destination for an exclusive Dior collection. Dior’s first couture show in the Middle East took place in Dubai last March, which not only presented the SS19 collection from the Parisian runways but also 15 unique dresses in tribute to all that glitters in the region.
In addition to the exclusive Ramadan capsule, some of Maria Grazia Chiuri’s emblematic creations from the Spring/Summer 2020 season are also stocked online as well as Kim Jones’ on-trend world of menswear, from the latest Oblique sneakers to the highly-anticipated Rimowa collaboration. The little ones are not forgotten either with creative interpretations of Dior’s classic lines crafted especially for Ramadan available in the Baby Dior section.
In the spirit of the virtual era the world is currently undergoing and offering a light way to briefly escape the current reality, Dior has also launched a new augmented reality experience on Instagram with the Rose des Vents filter. British model Cara Delevingne demonstrates the fun feature, playfully flicking the sparkling medallions emblazoned with Christian Dior’s lucky star as they fill the screen for a much-needed reminder of the little joys in life.
