“Inclusion, empowerment, and confidence are at the core of the female movement today. We all belong; and this site is a long time coming,” starts Dima Ayad. The Lebanese, Dubai-based designer who is also the PR and marketing director at The Modist has always been one to take things into her own hands. When she learned about 11Honore—a size inclusive, luxury e-commerce site—she didn’t waste time getting in touch. “I found out about 11Honoré through various sites and bloggers promoting it. I saw that it was launching soon and with some incredible brands. I tracked down the founders on social media, asked for their email addresses, sent them a sincere email about why I started designing in the first place, the important role their site had in the world (literally), and they responded. A few calls later and they came to see the collection during Paris Fashion Week and placed their order.”

Ayad explains that in the US, the average woman’s size is US 14-16 and that 67% of American women are considered plus sized. Perhaps you are among those not wearing clothes sizes 0-10, but rather 10-22.Why should a number limit your quality in taste? 11Honoré serves to bridge the gap for women around the world to efficiently buy luxury clothes. “It’s a milestone in fashion, when you see brands like Brandon MaxwellTome, Adam Lippes, Zac Posen, and Prabal Gurung, and so many more understand diversity of women in shapes and sizes and being inclusive.”
