Rami Kadi’s Spring 2017 capsule collection is a full-on fashion fairy tale. The collection, titled Mirror, Mirror on the Wall, serves as a dreamy extension of the Lebanese couturier’s Spring 2017 Tourbillon Céleste couture collection showcased during Paris Haute Couture week in January. The designer found his muses for the eight-piece range in some of our favorite Disney princesses. An elegant floor-trailing, off-the-shoulder gown for Belle; for Jasmine, an embellished ecru dress with ruffled sleeves; and a mint green, Swarovski crystal-adorned mermaid dress for Ariel. He dialed up the volume for Tiana by way of a billowing pistachio-colored ball gown featuring a single shoulder. What appears to be glittery beads and crystals are actually tiny laser-cut mirror pieces in different shapes and forms embroidered into each of the dresses, reflecting the fairy tale fantasy.

The designer, who has built a strong following in the Middle East, refined his skills working under the wings of celebrated Lebanese designers Rabih Kayrouz and Georges Chakra. Today, Kadi is a favorite among Arabic superstars, including Myriam Fares, Ahlam, and Maya Diab. His recent collection displays his sense of playfulness and imagination. It is already available online and in stores, and will charm starlets looking for a red carpet option, teenagers, women, and ingénues alike – because every girl deserves to feel like a princess, after all.
