It wasn’t just Nancy Ajram‘s voice glittering on-stage last night. The Lebanese superstar performed a concert in Cyprus on Sunday evening, where she turned to a designer from the region to give her a little extra pizzazz (not that the singer, who has more than 10 studio albums to her name, needs any, of course). The 35-year-old Hassa Beek songstress wore a gown from Rami Al Ali‘s Fall 2018 collection for her show, which shimmered with a scattering of sequins. The ethereal fabric was expertly crafted into an almost Roman-inspired silhouette, for a glamorous yet ultra-feminine finish.
“I’m very delighted to work with one of the region’s biggest and most loved talents,” the Syrian-born designer told Vogue.me of dressing Ajram. “Nancy has a very sensational voice, strong presence and a very down-to-earth personality that makes you love her even more.” Al Ali and his team were contacted by the singer’s stylist, with the gown chosen due to its “similar aesthetics and DNA” with Ajram’s choice of eveningwear. “Nancy is very known for her femininity, and it is also known that she loves classic yet modern designs, which is what defines Rami Al Ali,” said the designer.
It is the first time the superstar has chosen to wear the Dubai-based label, though she regularly champions designers of the region, having previously worn Elie Saab and Georges Hobeika, to name just a few. Below, find more of Ajram’s recent style hits to inspire your next after-dark outfit…
