The runway was almost ablaze on Saturday evening, thanks to the sheer amount of star power strutting down it. For Resort 2019, Miu Miu brought together a diverse cast of A-list models that made the Paris display one that will not be swiftly forgotten. Pulp Fiction actor Uma Thurman closed the show, while fellow Hollywood stars Chloë Sevigny, Jaime King, Kate Bosworth, Stranger Things’s Sadie Sink, and Game of Thrones’s Gwendoline Christie also showcased the collection on the catwalk.

Miuccia Prada rounded out her high-profile runway with modeling legends such as Naomi Campbell, Adriana Lima, and Adwoa Aboah, as well as recent newcomers (though equally as iconic faces) such as Kaia Gerber. The collection felt as eclectic as the casting, featuring everything from feather-trimmed robes and silk duchesse gowns to chunky knit cardigans and leather two-pieces. Babydoll silhouettes and flared, printed trousers gave a nod to decades past, but carefree, sports-infused trench coats and micro shorts ensured there was a contemporary twist.

That playfulness, and blending of sensibilities, was perfectly captured by Thurman, who grinned her way down the catwalk, before shrugging off her racing stripe overcoat to reveal an emerald green and leopard print gown. Unexpected, unpredictable, and spontaneous, the show effortlessly echoed the Resort 2019 line itself. It was just the latest in a series of new-season shows enlisting iconic faces alongside established models (Italian actor Monica Bellucci made an appearance at Dolce & Gabbana‘s men’s display this season, while Kim Jones called on Prince Nikolai of Denmark for his Dior Homme Spring 2019 debut).
