Here’s Your First Look as Riccardo Tisci Starts His Burberry Reign

It was one of the highlights of this season’s London Fashion Week, and Riccardo Tisci most certainly delivered with his debut collection for Burberry. The designer, who was appointed chief creative officer of the brand back in March, staked his claim on the throne with “Kingdom”, Spring 2019’s ready-to-wear line which fused the British label’s heritage with an insouciant edginess. Pale nude and caramel-hued trenches were teamed with ankle socks and patent T-bar flats, iconic checks cast against silky lace-trimmed camis, and signature prints reinvented in avant-garde silhouettes. Models including Jourdan Dunn, Lily Donaldson, and Irina Shayk helped showcase the collection, which gave an insightful glimpse at how Tisci aims to put his spin on Burberry’s long-standing staples during his tenure. Kendall Jenner even returned to the runway for the spectacle, held at the London mail center – her first catwalk of the season. Scroll through the gallery above for a first glimpse at Burberry’s Spring 2019 highlights, and stay tuned for an in-depth show report…
