Some of Bottega Veneta‘s most seminal designs are coming to the UAE in a specially curated display. The Italian label, renowned for its leather goods, fragrances and jewelry, is bringing a selection of the former to Dubai to celebrate two of its most famed handbag creations.
Bottega Veneta’s flagship boutique in The Dubai Mall will house a number of Cabat and Knot iterations from June 1 to 3, with both archival and recent pieces unveiled.
The Cabat, a refined, yet chic tote imbued with a timeless elegance, is one of the maison’s most recognizable silhouettes, first envisioned by Creative Director Tomas Maier when he joined the label in 2001.

The artisanal, woven piece was the first design by Maier, who is also behind the reinvention of the Knot. The rounded, box clutch was first introduced to Bottega Veneta’s collections in the 1980s, and reimagined by Maier with a knotted closure – hence the name. The contemporary design has since inspired other styles, such as the City Knot and the Olimpia Knot, which also incorporate the characteristic clasp.
Blending craftsmanship, impeccable fabrics, and signature design, the pieces on display will offer a fascinating insight into the past and present of the label.
The ICONS Exhibition will be held at the Bottega Veneta boutique in The Dubai Mall Fashion Avenue from June 1 to 3.
