The humidity index is about to climb even higher and the Gulf dress code is set to switch to swathes of breezy silk and tactile linens. In good time for high summer, Vogue Arabia previews the fifth partnership between French fashion house Chloé – founded by Egyptian-born Parisienne Gaby Aghion in 1952 – and Net-a-Porter for Summer 2017. The 26-piece collection is infused with the maison’s signature bohemia and romantic spirit but with a specific focus on Ibiza’s style scene circa 1970.
Cue flowing gowns with metallic accents for daytime glamour, kaftans with heady orange floral prints, and a collection of 24/7 accessories in gold and patchwork to channel the Balearic island’s inexhaustible spirit.
“Our collaborations provide a great selection of ‘buy now wear now’ pieces, which are always incredibly popular with our customers globally,” says Holly Russell, senior buyer at Net-a-Porter. “This Ibiza-inspired capsule perfectly exemplifies their feminine cool aesthetic and is our biggest and best yet.”
Model Julia Stegner is the face of the campaign and takes the laissez-faire vibe of the 1970s-inspired collection and makes it relevant for 2017. The style take-homes? Tousle your hair, oversized sunglasses on, and to the beach.
The collection is available exclusively at Net-a-Porter from May 18 with prices starting at 850 AED.
