Luxury French jeweler Chaumet is set to reopen its historic doors at 12 Place Vendôme today, February 27 and what better way to celebrate than an elegant soirée with the world’s biggest stars? Ahead of its grand reopening within Paris‘ most iconic square, Chaumet welcomed many of its renowned friends to its freshly redesigned home balancing tradition with modernity in a celebration yesterday coinciding with the maison‘s 240th anniversary.
Some of the Arab world’s most famous figures joined Chaumet’s CEO Jean-Marc Mansvelt for the evening donning a selection of the house’s bejeweled masterpieces, including Kuwaiti poet Noha Nabil, Lebanese beauty entrepreneur Joelle Mardinian, Iraqi influencer Dima Al Sheikhly, and Dubai-based media personality Diala Makki. International models Coco Rocha, Cindy Bruna, and Camila Coelho were also in glamorous attendance.
Although Place Vendôme has been the heart of Chaumet since 1812, guests rediscovered its fabled beauty in opulent decor reminiscent of a Parisian apartment fit for Empress Joséphine herself. From the downstairs boutique boasting the latest coveted creations to an array of grandiose salons upstairs ready for bespoke orders, each corner is an ode to the jeweler’s cultural heritage. The creative birthplace of many of Chaumet’s High Jewelry pieces has also relocated there, with expert artisans already crafting the next extravagant creation in their new workshop.
While the house’s emblematic blue and signature motifs—such as the ear of wheat and the laurel—adorn many of the salons’ intricately designed walls, it might be the Salon des Diadèmes’ timeless tribute to Chaumet’s precious collections with hundreds of nickel silver tiaras that is the most extraordinary display of harmony between nature and luxury.
