For Chanel, five is more than a number. Its symbolism is rooted in astrology, mirroring Mademoiselle Chanel’s own zodiac sign and the auspice behind the day she chose to present her couture collections. In this way, Chanel No. 5 embodies the eternal legacy of Chanel’s most iconic contributor, first bottled in a timeless fragrance, and now inspiring Chanel’s signature take on horology.

In 1987, Chanel presented its first watchmaking creation with the Première watch: a timepiece crafted with subtle nods to the legendary significance of the number five in Chanel’s legacy. In 2023, Chanel introduced the Première Édition Originale, a re-issue from the original watch, and also presented the Premiere Ribbon, crafted using steel.

The refined chain bracelet interwoven with leather pays homage to classic Chanel handbags, while the sleek black-lacquer dial, adorned with gold hands, epitomizes luxury and refinement.
