In our eyes, she cemented her status as a queen of couture just last week – but Céline Dion certainly isn’t resting on her stylish laurels. The Canadian songstress, who has just kicked off her new headlining tour in Australia, has debuted another trend-setting ensemble, just days after winning the fashion world’s heart in a yellow power suit from Lebanese designer Maison Rabih Kayrouz. Yet again turning to another label from the region, the 50-year-old My Heart Will Go On star slipped into a second statement suit, this time courtesy of Lebanese couturier Elie Saab.
Clad in a bold python print, the relaxed two-piece blended a glamorous finish with an insouciant silhouette. Sepia-tinged Balenciaga sunglasses elevated the ’70s sensibility, with Dion rounding off the look with Jennifer Fisher earrings and neutral pumps from Saab. The Québécoise singer, with a little help from stylist Law Roach, has become quite the style icon of late. Though having boasted a distinctive aesthetic ever since making her debut as a teen, Dion has embraced contemporary couture straight off the runway in recent months, donning everything from an acid-green Balenciaga dress to a custom Off-White denim jumpsuit. The singer has shown a certain predilection for suiting, with her tour wardrobe also boasting a metallic gold, brocade two-piece from Schiaparelli.
Dion has also displayed an affection for designers from the region, wearing a Reem Acra jumpsuit in Paris, and jewelry by Sabine Getty in recent months. Memorably, the hitmaker paid an emotional tribute to the victims at the American Music Awards 2015, and for the occasion wore a black sateen, floor-length halter dress with an open back and skinny belt from Elie Saab‘s Couture collection. And who can forget the sequined, emerald Zuhair Murad gown with a plunging neck and high-slit that she donned at the 2017 Grammy Awards? We can’t wait to see what she’s got up her sleeve next.
