It’s a movie about a heist targeting a US$150 million necklace – but Sandra Bullock shined even brighter than a jewel at the London premiere of Ocean’s 8. The American actor turned to a designer from the Middle East for a shimmering, sequin-encrusted jumpsuit that completely eclipsed the already-glittering red carpet. The jagged-stripe jumpsuit came from Zuhair Murad‘s Pre-Fall 2018 collection, and was coated in iridescent embellishments in shades of green and pink. Oozing with high-octane glamour, the one-piece brought together the best of disco with a contemporary culotte silhouette.

The 53-year-old, who plays Debbie Ocean (the sister of George Clooney’s character in previous Ocean’s films), was joined at the premiere by co-stars including Helena Bonham Carter, who wore silver Vivienne Westwood Couture. Also in attendance was Sarah Paulson, in a scalloped, candy-pink Valentino, and Mindy Kaling, in a sheer Alberta Ferretti gown, complete with crystal and bead detailing.
This red carpet outing is just the latest for the A-list cast – which includes Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, and Awkwafina – who have already stepped out for premieres in New York and various photo calls. Ocean’s 8, a spin-off from the Ocean’s trilogy, was first released in the US on June 8, and follows a group of women intent on robbing New York’s annual Met Gala. The promotional tour has been working its way around the world in recent weeks, and offering up plenty of sartorial inspiration.
