Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, appears to be settling into her new life with ease. A little more than a week after her first solo trip with Her Majesty to Cheshire, the Duchess joined Prince Harry at Buckingham Palace for the Queen’s Young Leaders Awards Ceremony last night.
The Young Leaders program is a four-year project that celebrates the achievements of young persons across the United Kingdom for their service in the fields of education and mental health care. The Duchess dressed for the occasion in a prim, blush-tone dress by Prada.
This is the first time that the Duchess has worn a piece from the Italian house since joining the royal family. Previously, she has relied on pieces from English-born designer Clare Waight Keller, the artistic director for Givenchy. The Prada dress featured a double-breasted placket for a refined approach to cocktail dress, while a tonally coordinated belt was a prim touch.
An asymmetric hem finished the item, and a square neckline recalled that of her wedding dress. Strappy, bow-accented heels grounded the look, and a coordinated clutch kept all essentials at hand.
