She was being honored with an award, with her prize-giving one of the highlights of this year’s Deauville US Film Festival. However, Kate Beckinsale also stole the show on the red carpet on Sunday evening, putting on a dazzling display in an Arab design. The British actress sported Lebanese label Zuhair Murad as she arrived at the Love & Friendship premiere, held at the 44th annual edition of the festival in France.

With a plunging neckline, ornate embellishments, and lashings of gossamer-thin tulle, the scarlet gown certainly upped the drama on the night. Pearl Harbor star Beckinsale pulled her hair into a loose updo, to let the creation’s encrusted straps take center stage, and finished off the look with bronzed makeup and diamond strand earrings.

On the night, the actress was presented with the 2018 Deauville Talent Award, alongside Australian actor Jason Clarke. Beckinsale, who studied at Oxford University, has appeared in films such as Emma, The Aviator, and the Underworld series. The star has turned to Murad for many a red carpet throughout her decades-long career, most notably the 2014 Golden Globe Awards, the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, and the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. Here’s hoping the pair team up again this coming awards season, because Beckinsale always adds a little extra pizzazz to the label’s already glimmering designs.
