Last night, the Duchess of Cambridge unleashed her inner fashion girl in a brand new dress from Erdem. Kate Middleton, on hand to open the V&A Photography Center in London, chose a Prince of Wales check dress from designer Erdem Moralioglu. The silhouette and fit recalled the off-the-shoulder Barbara Casasola piece the Duchess sported in July 2016. However, unlike the minimal palette Middleton previously employed, she doubled down on the effect of her bejeweled buttons with Erdem’s floral drop earrings.
Burgundy velvet heels grounded Middleton’s look and coordinated with the dress’s waist-defining belt. Consider it a win for the Duchess’s first outing as a royal patron of the V&A.
