With an ever-growing reel of on-point street style wins and a portfolio brimming with premium fashion titles, Caroline Issa’s stamp on the sartorial world is well noted the world over. As the fresh fashion shoot for TheModist.com for Fall 2017 is unveiled, Vogue.me reviews the style file of the front row favorite.
On location at The Scotch of St. James, London, Issa was styled by Sally Matthews, Creative Director of The Modist, and photographed by Alex Bramall. Highlighting key pieces from the Fall 2017 collections on the e-commerce site, the shoot explores the interplay of textures–from metallics to supersoft woollens. The palette of feminine blush tones, florals, and checks can be layered together for the winter season ahead. Notably, Issa’s personal wardrobe gravitates towards relaxed, long-line silhouettes that are reflected in her latest shoot. “I don’t do bodycon, my wardrobe has always gravitated around layered silhouettes and high necklines,” added Issa. “Modesty appeals to every woman – religion, nationality, whatever that may be is put aside and I think it’s quite simply, just a way of dressing,” Issa shares with The Modist.
Below Vogue.me decodes the front-row favorite’s wardrobe sensibility in a sequence of fashion lessons learned from her show-going wardrobe:
#1: Do Mix It Up
Master The Look: Checks, polka dots, and studs all in one go get the Issa stamp of approval. A bold red lip, supersized sunglasses, and a healthy dose of confidence will make a heady clash of prints and textures work in one look.
#2: Add Feminine Prints to Utilitarian Pieces
Master the Look: Embroidered florals and an unexpected dash of color will soften a tough, cropped jacket in one spin.
#3: Say ‘Check Mate’ to Cover-Ups
Master the Look: Give check prints a modern spin by opting for electric hues topped off with a matching stole.
