Adventure. Exploration. Nostalgia. From February 1 – 29, these are the senses that will be stirred to life as two esteemed British brands – Burberry and Harrods – come together in a collaboration that celebrates the essence of British luxury.
Burberry, an epitome of modern British luxury, is set to transform the Harrods department store into a captivating wonderland. The essence of Burberry’s heritage of exploration and the outdoors comes alive as Harrods’ famed green awnings see themselves draped with a seasonal Burberry check pattern, reminiscent of tent canopies beckoning explorers and passersby to embark on a journey like no other. As night falls on Brompton Road, the façade of Harrods’ Knightsbridge location will glow the proud knight blue, Burberry’s new signature color, put forth by the brand’s chief creative officer, Daniel Lee.
Stepping inside, the takeover continues. Visitors are treated to quintessential elements of British outdoor exploration at the Burberry Camping Corner, where classic hiking accessories and limited-edition treasures await. Among them are an orienteering map of Knightsbridge, and a bespoke knight bottle-opener, adding a sense of revelry to the experience. Then comes the dedicated rainwear space, highlighting a collection of Burberry’s iconic trench coats, sure to further immerse you in the long legacy of Burberry’s world of adventure.
The takeover extends beyond aesthetics, offering a curated collection of over 40 exclusive Burberry pieces across womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, and accessories – available only at Harrods throughout February. Burberry’s exclusive capsule collection features meticulously crafted pieces ranging from luxurious nappa leather knight bags and revamped chess and rocking horse bags, to stylish box sneakers.

As the collaboration continues, the famed green men of Harrods have been reimagined for the first time by a fashion house – swapping their green exteriors for Burberry’s knight blue check patterns courtesy of Daniel Lee’s Spring 2024 collection. Bringing the collaboration further to life, Kinzy Diab, co-founder of Hayaty Diaries, championed the pieces from the special collection in a shoot set against the backdrop of her favorite London locales.
Paying homage to Harrods’ 175th anniversary, Burberry also unveiled a limited run of signature Harrods bears. With only 175 available for purchase, each comes adorned with a hand-embroidered Burberry scarf – tying together the legacies of both brands as stewards of Britishness itself.
For those unable to attend in person, Burberry invites loyalists to experience the takeover virtually through platforms like Roblox and Snapchat, offering intriguing new ways to merge heritage with the digital age.
As the month-long celebration unfolds, Burberry shines much like its iconic knight: in shining blue armor. With the exquisite pieces and carefully curated spaces, Burberry – in collaboration with Harrods – reaffirms itself both as a British institution and as a beacon of contemporary innovation and luxury.
