Ramadan isn’t just a time of self-reflection and introspection. With its many opportunities to spend quality time with loved ones, the Holy Month is a joyous time, and what better way to celebrate this part of the year than with vibrant colors and precious keepsakes?
For Ramadan 2024, Italian jewelry house Bulgari has conceptualized a beautiful campaign that brings its colorful gemstone pieces to life to convey a message of happiness, peace and wellbeing.
Set against some of the most stunning Middle Eastern backdrops, Bulgari’s Ramadan campaign takes watchers on a journey where they are met with four characters. For the fourth year in a row, Emirati entrepreneur and friend of the brand Mthayel Al Ali makes an appearance in the film, along with Qatari designer Abdulrahman Al Muftah, Saudi Arabian actor and Red Sea Film Foundation award winner Sumaya Rida, and Kuwaiti music producer and DJ Hassan Ali.
Together, the four creatives go through one scenic destination after another. First, Mthayel explores a blue village that represents “the color of dreams”, and soon after, then Abdulrahman moves on to a serene white architectural landscape that pays homage to “the color of peace”. The final scene of the Bulgari Ramadan campaign takes us all the way to a vibrant souk in shades of orange, to experience “the color of joy” with Sumaya and Hassan.
How does the video tie in with the month of Ramadan? The orange ribbons interlinking each short story in Bulgari’s festive collection will adorn the jewelry house’s Ramadan gifts. “Each year, we put our minds together to reflect and convey an authentic message of joy, generosity and peace, symbolizing the inner values of Ramadan in our region,” explains Sonia Maghraoui, marketing and communications director at Bulgari. “Bringing life and happiness by sharing humbly a genuine vision of colors and togetherness while escaping to a peaceful world of dreams.” The special time is also being honored by Bulgari this month with the release of the Octo Roma timepiece, which features an iconic green Clous de Paris dial. The watch, which you will see worn by Hassan in the campaign, is available exclusively in the region this year.
