As part of this year’s Geneva Watch Days; a decentralized gathering of luxury Swiss watch brands, Grenchen-based watchmaker, Breitling has announced the release of its new Endurance Pro watch. Featuring thermo-compensated SuperQuartz movement, the watch makes up part of the brand’s Professional range and functions both as a lightweight watch for athletes, as well as a chronograph for everyday use.

Combining innovation, precision, and design, the watch will be launched alongside the Breitling Endurance Pro Strava Challenge, in which participants will have two weeks to complete 500 minutes of an activity of their choice. Competing for a wide range of prizes including a Breitling Colnago C64 bike, Breitling Endurance Pro watches, and Breitling jersey kits, the Challenge commences today with winners being picked at random upon completion.

Boasting a suite of ultra-lightweight materials; including a 44-millimeter Breitlight case, the Endurance Pro prides itself on precision. With its thermocompensated SuperQuartz movement, it is ten times more accurate than conventional quartz, thus effortlessly combining comfort with functionality. Designed for men and women alike, the watch provides a blend of style and rigor; sturdy enough to meet the challenges of a strenuous workout, and professional enough for everyday use. In a statement referring to the watch, Breitling’s CEO Georges Kern explains, “When Jan Frodeno first became a member of our Triathlon Squad, he asked me what Breitling he should wear. We started brainstorming about the perfect sporty lifestyle watch and that conversation led to the development of the Endurance Pro.” Elaborating on its comprehensive design, Kern continues, “With this watch, we adapted our SuperQuartz technology to the needs of people like Jan who play as hard as they work. And the Breitlight case is so light that it won’t interfere with anyone’s training routine or sporting activity.”

Offered in five color variations, each Breitling Endurance Pro features a black dial and black bidirectional rotating bezel engraved with cardinal compass points. Distinguished by their own bold colors, each variation is accompanied by an inner bezel, whose pulsometer scale is offered in white, blue, yellow, orange, or red. Presented atop a Diver Pro strap in the same color as the bezel ring, users can enjoy the comfort and security of the strap’s double-pin buckle and also have the option of adding outer known Nato straps which can be purchased separately.

Hosted between August 26 to August 29, the Geneva Watch Days event will feature a number of swiss luxury brands, including Bvlgari, De Bethune, Gerald Genta, Girard-Perregaux, H. Moser & Cie, MB&F, Ulysse Nardin and Urwerk. As the only significant gathering for the Swiss watch community, the event will take place in the heart of Geneva, where luxury watchmaking has been practiced for more than 500 years.
