Not an event for the fashion faint-hearted, the annual American Music Awards celebrating the year’s greatest contemporary musicians are renowned for bringing out the industry’s boldest looks. The 47th edition was no different with many stars rocking body-hugging silhouettes, shimmering sequins, and vibrant hues on a Los Angeles red carpet that was just as eye-popping as the artists’ winning performances.
Selena Gomez marked her return to the televised stage after two years with a neon Versace dress and matching heels and Dua Lipa fresh from her performance in Dubai shone in hot pink Miu Miu while Halsey brought a breath of spring to the winter evening in a floral Marc Jacobs ensemble. From rising actors Maya Hawke and Katherine Langford being pictures of princess perfection in romantic Christian Dior and Rodarte gowns to longtime honorees Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift making modern statements with thigh-high slits, the AMA’s sartorial selection was one to remember.
