Blackpink‘s Rosé might have just solidified her status as the queen of the coquette aesthetic.
For Blackpink’s eighth anniversary event held on August 8, Rosé added the sweetest coquette touches to her look, including matching her pink shirtdress to the teeny pink bows in her hair. For the event, Rosé wore a pale pink collared shirt layered under a knee-length leather sleeveless dress so the Peter Pan collar peeked out, styled with heart socks (from Puma, her latest partnership) and a crossbody bag.
Her hair definitely took the coquette crown, however. Rosé’s light blonde hair was pulled up at the nape of her neck and styled in a handful of teeny buns, atop which sweet pink bows were pinned to match the pastel shade of her top.
From the front, her bangs were styled in soft, loose curls right in front of her face. One slightly less coquettish touch? Her black manicure. This ‘fit is the perfect balance of sweet and edgy, and the fact that it’s both black and pink is not lost on us.
We love seeing Rosé put her stamp on major trends and seeing how she interprets them to suit her personal style. This spring and summer alone, we’ve seen her try out the butter yellow manicure trend, Bayonetta glasses, and mesh flats, among many others. She also co-signed the flip-flop as the shoe of the summer alongside Kylie Jenner.
Can you believe it’s been eight years of Blackpink? A day after the event, on August 9, the group kept the celebrations going with a special red carpet in Seoul tied to the premiere of Born Pink In Cinemas, with each band member wearing a chic LBD; Rosé’s was a strapless mini with a bold sequined detail at the bodice.
“Thank you girlies for being my best sisters throughout all of this. I’m so so proud of us. Love you all tremendously,” Rosé wrote on Instagram. “Happy 8 years blackpink. I can’t wait to live laugh and grow with you all. Lysm.”
